Awards evening 2023


Congratulations to all the players who won awards at the 2023 Awards evening held in Beeston on 29th September. Winners were as follows:

Sue Pacey Memorial Tournament

Well played to the members of the club who played at the Sue Pacey Memorial Tournament on 1st July and for finishing joint second!

U12 Junior Team Regional Success!

Congratulations to the Bramcote U12 team who played fantastically at the Regional tournament on 21st May.  They won all five group games, the semi final and the final to become the best regional team in the East Midlands! Well played girls!

Players Annual Tournament

Well done to all the players from the club that took part in Players annual netball tournament at George Spencer Academy on Sunday 23rd April.  The weather wasn't the kindest but the excellent raffle made up for that!



New junior section players

If your child would like to join the junior section then please come along to a new player session which is always the first Friday of each month. Please note that this is the only time a new player can join as it enables us to give a proper induction to the club.  However, please note that at present we only have space to be able to welcome new players who are in years 4 to 6.

Training takes place at Bilborough College between 5pm to 6pm for under 11s and from 6pm to 7pm for under 12 and 13 age groups.

A big well done to all the players who won awards at the presentation evening. A big thank you to those who organised the evening too - it was lovely to be together again for an awards evening after such a long time!

Junior Condover weekend - May

Congratulations to all the junior members of the club that played in the weekend tournament held at Condover in early May.  Year 9 finished third overall and year 8 won the plate! Well played all!



No senior training now until July

There will be no training sessions during May and June whilst the summer league is taking place. After this, training will return to Bilborough College on Tuesday evenings, between 6pm and 9pm.  The training time will be split between teams and further details will be provided closer to the time.



Players Charity Tournament - 24th April

Well done to everyone from the club who took part in the Players charity tournament - lots of fun was had by all!



New venue for Senior training - January 2022

From January, senior training will move back to a Tuesday evening indoors at The Pearson Centre in Beeston. There will be two training times 7pm until 8pm (Roses and Ambers) and 8pm until 9pm (Rubies and Pearls). Please check with your captain or Cate or Emma if you're not sure what time you need to attend. 


Back to Training!

Bramcote held its first, socially distanced training session since lockdown on 8th September. It took place at our temporary new training venue of Kick Hallam Community Academy and just over 20 players took part. It was lovely to be back on court and see everyone!





Lockdown Fitness!

We may not be able to train or play netball matches together at the moment, but that doesn't stop us having weekly fitness sessions together online! Go Bramcote! Miss you all!

Condover success for Bramcote Juniors

Congratulations to all the Junior players who played at the Condover weekend in June.  The U12 team were crowned champions and the U15 team came third. Well played everyone.


Players Charity Netball Tournament

Congratulations to all players who spent the day on Sunday 28th April 2019 to take part in Players charity netball tournament for Macmillan Cancer Support.  Rubies finished runners up in their group and Pearls were fourth in theirs.  Special congratulations to Lucy Peebles who won Player of the Tournament!

Tournament Win for Bramcote!

Congratulations to a Bramcote Netball team made up of a mix of players from across the club to win the Stapleford Charity Netball tournament on 28th July 2018.

Also, separate congratulations to Jenny Evans who won the tournament's fair player award!

Bramcote School Netball Team - Regional School Tournament Success!

Congratulations to the Bramcote School Netball team, made up of players from Bramcote Netball Club, who won the Under 16 Regional School Tournament on 27th January, beating Repton in the final 10-6.

Well played girls and good luck for the National Finals taking place on 17th March!

Bramcote Netball Club Annual General Meeting

Bramcote has won the Regional 'Outstanding Club of the Year Award'! 

A huge congratulations to everyone in the Club as we have have won the award for Regional Outstanding Club of the Year. We were nominated very kindly by Kathy Tubas of Cliftonettes and it is something we should all feel very proud of - we have a great set of junior players as well as seniors, many of whom give up their time and netball expertise to make the Club a success. Well done all!!

Condover Hall Success for Juniors - May 2016

Congratulations to the Bramcote Juniors who recently took part in a tournament at Condover Hall in Shropshire. U12's finished fourth and the U14/U15's finished as runner's up so well played to everyone who went. Photos from the weekend are now in the Gallery.


Bilborough Sports Centre (Nuffield Health) Membership  

As members of Bramcote Netball Club we are entitled to an affiliation gym membership at Bilborough Sports Centre for a special rate of £15 per month. Please contact the sports reception for further details.


More success for the Juniors!

Bramcote Under 12's were runners up at the Two Counties Tournament on Saturday 23rd April. Well done girls for brilliant play all round. 

Well done to the U11s who were runners up in the High 5 tournament on Saturday 23rd April. They won all of their matches except losing a close match against tournament winners Bingham. 

 

Bramcote Juniors U14 Success and off to National Finals!

A huge congratulations to the U14s squad who had a brilliant day at the Regional Tournament on 17th April to finish second overall and earn a place at the Nationals Final in Essex! Well done girls and good luck for the Nationals!

Christmas meal

Big thank you to Joy for organising the recent Christmas night out for the Senior Team at Yiannis in Beeston, a great time was had by all.




Juniors Satellite Club

In addition to the usual Friday training sessions, the Satellite Club will train on Tuesday afternoons from 3rd November at Bramcote College in the Barn from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. Cost of £1 a session.

Loughborough Lightning Ball Girls

On 9th February, some of the Bramcote Netball juniors were ball girls for the Loughborough Lightning match against Celtic Dragons at the Loughborough Netball Centre.

England netballer Stacey Francis coaches Bramcote Netball Club  junior girls!

The junior teams were privileged to have a coaching session run by Bath Superleague and England Star Stacey Francis on Friday 11th July.  Stacey led an inspiring and engaging session for the girls aged between 9 and 15.

Club Action Planning Scheme (CAPS) Accreditation

Following Bramcote Netball Club's application for CAPS though England Netball, the club has successfully been awarded bronze accreditation. Well done to everyone who helped with the application, especially to Cate's Dad who did most of the paperwork!  For more information about CAPS and what the accreditation means click here.

Training sessions - from w/c 15th May 2014

Due to the summer league starting so some players will be missing from training each week to play in matches, training will revert back to 7pm to 8.30pm for all senior and under 15 players. Don't forget that training will be outside on certain weeks (see dates below).


Junior Training Session with Moniek Van Rossum

The Juniors enjoyed a session of training coached by Loughborough Lightning's Moniek Van Rossum on 28th February 2014.

Some of the Bramcote Netball junior squad were the ball girls for a Loughborough Lightning match against Team Northumbria on Saturday 15th February.


Junior PGL Weekend - May 2014

The club will be going on it's first junior netball weekend between 9th and 11th May 2014 in Shropshire. Please speak to Cate or Emma for further information.


Charity Tournament - July 2013

Wanted: Back to Netballers!

Bramcote Diamonds is looking for new players to join the team and is particularly interested in anyone who has recently been on a Back to Netball course or those players that haven't played for a while but want to get back into the sport. Please get in touch or come along to a training session.

To try and recruit new players it would be great if everyone could also print out and display the below poster at work, village halls, post offices, local shops - basically anywhere to drum up some interest!

West Park Champions

Well done to the Rubies team who finished top of the West Park Summer League for the fourth season running!  Congratulations also to the Sapphires team too who finished in the top five in only their first season in the league.


Robin Hood Marathon Volunteers 2012

Thank you to everyone - players, partners and children who gave their Sunday morning up to help give out Lucozade and water to runners in the Robin Hood mini and half marathon on Sunday 30th September.

The event raises crucial funds for our club so well done to everyone who spared their time to do this. A special thanks to Vicky Berry who organised us all again.

The funds raised will be used to help subsidise the Club's new kit.

 

Summer League Results 2012

Well done to everyone at the club who played in the Nottingham Netball Summer Leagues at Rushcliffe.

Rubies had a fantastic run, finishing second in the Division Two table and gaining promotion into Division One for the first time next summer.

Sapphires finished fifth and Jewels eighth in the Division Three league.

Congratulations to West Park champions

Well done to the Rubies team and everyone else who filled in during the 2011/12 West Park league.  We won the league for the third season running, losing only one match all season. The summer 'versatility' league starts on 26th April and Sapphires will also be entering a team for the first time.


Congratulations to Jewels

A very well done to all of the Jewels team who finished top of the table in the Sunday division two league.  This is a fantastic result for the team in only their first season of competition.  The team took the league by storm, losing only one game and scoring over 70 goals in one match! The final league table can be seen here.  Well played everyone!


Diamonds team formed

Bramcote Netball Club now has a fourth team called Diamonds which will be captained by Roisin. The Diamonds will compete in the monthly two county tournaments as well as Back to Netball tournaments around the region.  Check out their latest results and news on the 'Diamonds Results' page.

 

 

Great Yarmouth Netball Weekend

Well played to everyone who went on the netball weekender to Great Yarmouth. A brilliant time was had by all and the hot, sunny weather just topped it off! Congratulations to Sapphires who made it through to the semi-final in the intermediate cup and Rubies who lost in the quarter finals of the cup competition. A massive thanks to Michelle for organising the club's first weekend away. I'm sure it will be the first of many! :-) 

West Park Summer 2011 Champions 

Congratulations to everyone who helped Rubies win the West Park Summer league which finished in mid-September. We continued our winning streak from the winter league to finish the season unbeaten.  Well played everyone.

Unfortunately Vic, who is the co-founder of the club with Cate and Emma has decided to hang up her netball bib. A very big thank you from everyone for ALL that you have done for the club over the last 3+ years. You'll be missed and we hope that you'll come back soon! :-)  Sarah Everton has kindly offered to take over the treasurer duties.

 

Bramcote Netball Club take summer leagues by storm!

Congratulations to both the Rubies and Sapphires teams who played brilliantly in the Rushcliffe summer leagues.  Rubies finished champions of league 3, winning every single match along the way, whilst Sapphires finished runners up in division 4, losing only one match all season.  Well played everyone.

Two Counties Success!

Congratulations to two of our teams who played excellently at the recent Two Counties tournament on Sunday 15th May.  Sapphires were winners and Jewels finished third. Well played everyone!

 

NCNA Charity Tournament

Congratulations to the Rubies team who finished runners up in the plate competition at NCNA's charity tournament, played at Rushcliffe Leisure Centre on Saturday 7th May. 

West Park League Champions!

Well done to everyone who played in the West Park winter league 2010/11. We became champions in only our second season of playing there which is a brilliant result. Every game we played we won (well apart from one, which was a draw, but those that played know that we did win really - the umpires just couldn't score!) Congratulations everyone! Bring on the summer league! :-)

 

Division 2 Champions!

Congratulations to Bramcote Rubies who came top of the Division 2 championship in the Winter League 2009/10.  To see the final standings in the league table click here.  Well done to everyone who has played for the team throughout the season. Division 1 here we come!... Also well done to the team (pictured) for finishing third in the tournament at Gotham on Sunday 25th May.
