Background

Bramcote Netball Club has been running as a senior club since 2008 and due to the increasing success of attracting and retaining senior players we expanded in March 2013 to have a junior section to try and increase participation of local girls in netball. The club is voluntary run with only the coaches being paid and we rely on training fees to cover this cost as well as the court hire. In addition, we regularly apply for grants whenever possible in order to keep the costs down and to enable us to buy more equipment. We gained the Bronze CAPS award in July 2014 and are working towards renewing this and then moving on to the silver award.

Aims

As we are a club, we want to be able to have the girls playing in as many local match opportunities as possible and teams are organised according to age and ability. Currently we have juniors playing in the Nottinghamshire netball league: http://www.ncna.co.uk/ and the Two Counties netball league and tournaments: http://www.twocountiesnetball.co.uk/. Once we feel your daughter is ready to play competitively she will be asked. If you have any concerns over this please feel free to speak to us.

Attendance

We expect players to attend training weekly so that we can work through a training programme to enable them to develop in the game and also enable them to have practise matches within the club.  We train during term time and during the holidays we will run netball related events when possible due to coaches’ availability. We are currently based at the indoors sports centre at Bilborough College

England Netball Membership

In order for your daughter to be able to attend training and play competitively she needs to become a member of England Netball after they have attended three training sessions.  The cost varies slightly each year and is based on the child’s date of birth on 1st September. Annual membership covers the period 1 September to 31 August.

It is essential that all players after 3 taster sessions does become a member of England netball as this provides us with insurance and other players are not insured if you aren’t and additionally it offers a variety of benefits for you e.g., magazines, web access.

Membership is done directly with England netball and you need to arrange this by visiting the following page https://www.englandnetball.co.uk/membership/become-a-member/u18-membership-checklist/ and follow the instructions (Bramcote Club ID number is 16126). Please note that you have to set up an account for yourself (no charge) and then you add your child if they are under 18.

Pricing structure - training, match and tournament fees

Match fees - £6 per game

Tournament fees - £11 per tournament

Training fees - £22.50 per month (shooter's package) or £35 per month (weekender all-inclusive package) 

Shooter's Package - this option is ideal for those who focus solely on training sessions and who aren't regularly playing in fixtures. Match and tournament fees will be charged accordingly at the rates outlined above.

Weekender Package - this option is for those in a team and playing in a league regularly. This comprehensive package covers any training sessions, matches, tournaments* that take place on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday (*maximum of 3 tournaments covered per player per season).

Sibling discount - 10% discount offered for siblings who are both aged 18 and under and that are active training/playing members of the club.

Additional Information/ consent form

Can you please complete the form below regarding the additional information we need to be aware of regarding your daughter's health and consent to the use of images in view of us having a web site http://bramcotenetballclub.yolasite.com/ and Facebook account that is regularly updated with pictures of events the girls are in.  

Communication

Can we please ask you to ensure that you have a ‘WhatsApp’ account as we have a WhatsApp group for the juniors and seniors, and this is how we communicate any information to you about training times and any other info we need to easily let you know about.

Additionally, can you download the app ‘SPOND’ (https://spond.com/) as this is used to invite players to attend in games as well as communication and accept training. Please enter code VOBRI to request to join the group and it will be accepted by an administrator and you will be allocated to the correct age group. It is essential that you do download the app for safeguarding purposes as well so that we can contact you easily at training if there are any issues or if sessions are cancelled or abandoned to the weather.
